Mentoring

We have over 100 mentors volunteering in schools around Adelaide. Mentors help grow a child’s self-esteem. Our mentors spend an hour a week with a child who is perhaps at risk of disengaging from the education system, or needs a significant adult in their lives. The mentors only spend time with a child during school term. All mentors require a DCSI police check and Report of Abuse and
Neglect training prior to commencing in a school. If you would like to get involved, please contact us here

‘Many of school children have family issues that they want to talk about and having someone who is exclusively theirs for a while on a regular basis is an irreplaceable support.’

– Chris Elliot, School Counsellor, Hendon Primary School
