KickStart for Kids Against Period Poverty Fundraiser
- Date:
KickStart for Kids is proud to present its annual Against Period Poverty Fundraiser, returning this May to raise vital funds and awareness for young South Australians facing period poverty.
Held this year at The Gallery, the fundraiser will bring the community together for an afternoon of drinks, canapés and meaningful conversation, all in support of a cause that continues to impact the education, confidence and wellbeing of students across the state.
Launched in 2021, the Against Period Poverty program was created to help address a critical but often overlooked issue affecting thousands of young people in South Australia. Through the initiative, KickStart for Kids provides free sanitary products to schools, helping ensure students can attend class with dignity and without disruption.
Demand for the program continues to grow each year, with schools across South Australia relying on this support to meet a very real and ongoing need.
This annual fundraiser plays an important role in helping KickStart for Kids continue and expand the program, while also raising broader awareness around the issue of period poverty and the barriers it creates for young people in education.
