Welcome to Kickstart for Kids!

KickStart for Kids is aimed at helping disadvantaged school children in South Australia through Breakfast Programs, positive mentoring and increasing self esteem.

Breakfast Program

KSFK currently provides over 1200 breakfasts per week to disadvantaged school children in South Australia. The program is supported by the Port Adelaide Football Club, we call our programme the Power Breakfast Program. Once a month selected players serve breakfast and interact with children at the schools.

Mentoring

Our mentoring program is called Mentoring Mates. Our Mentors interact with children that are at risk of disengaging from the education system. They try to spend regular time with the children, getting to know them and making a positive difference in their lives. The mentors spend an hour a week with selected kids at their school.

KSFK tries to target kids that have low self esteem, we try to make them feel good about themselves. That might mean a trip tp the movies, footy or just a play down at the park. They might need a new toy, some new clothes or a school uniform. We want to make them smile.
